#3940 sounds like what I was talking about. If I read the bug tracker
correctly, this problem is still active, understood, and you doe not
need any more information for this to get fixed. Is that correct?
Just to be clear, I added the line
MapAddress torcheck.xenobite.eu
torcheck.xenobite.eu.<desired_exit>.exit
(as one line) to torrc to cause torcheck.xenobite.eu to use the exit
node <desired_exit>
whereupon, torcheck.xenobite.eu became unreachable. Adding
AllowDotExit 1
caused torcheck.xenobite.eu to display the IP address of <desired_exit>.
Is there another way to use MapAddress (or other directive) to
achieve that goal?
I used the name of the desired exit because I could not find how to use
the fingerprint. I know that information has appeared on this
mailing list but I couldn't find the right search terms and I didn't
find it in the documentation. Could somebody tell me how to do that and
how to find the fingerprint of an exit node when I know the IP address?
Or point me to the relevant documentation or links?
Thanks.
Jim
