It's not that bad. I checked my last design that just went to the 
layouter. Total of about 500kB and this is a huge schematic set with 
about 600 mostly analog parts (meaning not just square boxes). Lots of 
them odd shaped because there is fiber-optics on there. And then there 
is always zip.

Just for the record: The PDF version is not smaller ...
