Recently it has become obvious that the mixminion network has severe
problems. Some of this is due to the very slow pace of development.
However it is also apparent that some mixminion repops are not watching
their servers very closely and fail to notice when they stop working.
The mixminion Statistics generated by the remailer grove at:
http://privacy.outel.org/minion/nlist2.html
currently show only 13 nodes out of 34 to be working and 14 of the nodes
have been dead for long enough to show 0%
The list of nodes in the Grove stats list is also a little out of date,
since there seems to be only 30 nodes in the directory server atm.
Nick has recently released Mixminion-0.0.8alpha3 but so far only 7 nodes
have updated to it. Perhaps a more severe criticism is that 11 nodes are
still running version 0.0.7.1.
Please can all mixminion remops either get their servers updated and back
online or, if they are not interested any more, perhaps they could let Nick
know so that they can be removed from the server directory.
