Re: [school-discuss] Donated Computers announcement, Take III

Keep your feet on the ground. You always get so emotional when
discussing FSF issues.

First, GNU is not the GPL and the GPL is not GNU. So, if somebody
releases his product under the GPL he does not release a GNU product
automatically. This is why GNU/Linux does not help further. Say the
"buzzword" Linux or talk about "free software". GNU/Linux only expresses
a small sighted viewpoint of an extremist who can't keep the feet on the
ground and ignores all the rest around GNU/Linux which is not mentioned
by this "term".

Second, you shouldn't discuss this here but in the FSF mailinglist--or,
if you can't suppress it, at slashdot.

Keep in mind that if people talk about linux they don't mean linux but
"just everything". If they say GNU/Linux they actually mean "only GNU"
and ignore everthing else.
