*sigh*.  Once upon a time there was ftp.altlinux.org mirror
there, but it disappeared (they've been busy reorganizing 
mirors somewhere last year or so, guess it's not the only
problem arosen).

It's free, I just don't use it to publish stuff (well except 
bugs and patches for others' projects) so don't have a clue
on what's considered OK regarding size, 30M tarballs seem
pretty OK but I have trouble recalling ISOs right now.

If all else fails, ping me again to contact some local ISPs
folks, maybe (not sure) some would find possibilities to 
publish educational images on main FTP servers which would
be richer in bandwidth to the world than we are. (it's also
a proposal to anyone doing educational software or distributions
here -- at least as a backup)

PS: ftp.linux.kiev.ua should be faster to you approximately
00:00 to 06:00 GMT+2, that is, 8 hours "earlier".
