You may also want to check out what the OSEF.org guys have done at Corbett
elementary school (in case you don't already know about it):

They've been using Tux Typing for a year now, and recently gave me a tour of
their facilities there. It was all very impressive, and really shows that Linux
can be successfully used in an educational setting (with appropriate
administrative support, of course ;-)
