I haven't actually looked at it either, so I won't defend it.  Actually, we may
be beginning to see the Linux equiv. of those commercial apps.  I've seen more
than one program that wasn't done because the coder was particularly interested
in it but because it was part of his schoolwork in some way.  That's how AUC
started (I think), and some of the moribund gradebook projects on our projects
page, along with this.
