Yes, a problem I fall into testing anjuta2 too ... that's the reason I
keep using Eclipse also for C/C++ development on Linux. It gives you the
choice on how to go with build systems. It can manage makefiles for you,
but yet not the way current linux development works, but you can use the
other way and integrate your own build system with own Makefiles into.

Works perfect for my development on CrimsonFields. Particularly the CVS
support is a big big big big plus on Eclipse.
