Yes and yes (sort of). The number of units in a set is currently limited
to 32. As the default set only has 24 right now, there's still room for 7
additional units. (One slot is reserved for the battle ship. I'm still
hoping I'll manage to come up with non-crappy images some day...)
Even if the default set is full (and the limit hasn't been lifted) you
can always create a new unit set. That's not an option for the FNA
campaign, though.
If there is possibility to increase the types of units, I would like to
have an infantry type which have 2 grid of shot range, like the scout,
but weaker in armor and slower in speed, which could be used in an
battle between infantrys and medium tanks, and will make infantrys
more useful; when get companyed with tanks, they could play as
firepower supporter.
I think I agree that another, stronger, infantry unit could be useful.
The process to add new units looks like this:
1) convince me (and possibly other people, especially mappers) that the
new unit would make sense. I'd say you have completed this step ;-)
2) propose unit specs
3) provide graphics

So what kind of map is needed?
Rivers cross the middle part? (already one, through)
More mountains? More pools?
I'm not sure I can answer that. One of the few settings which won't fit
due to geographical restrictions is marine warfare (ie. ocean, sea).
Lakes and rivers are ok, as is everything else I can currently think of.
We still don't have a proper map of Nexus which is both an advantage and
a disadvantage. You don't have to be too careful when developing the
scenario, but at the same time you don't have many guidelines, either.
The story of the war has so far mostly evolved by way of maps, not the
other way around.
And what exact size is enough? 40 X 24 or 60 X 32?
For the first few maps I'd say something along the lines of Uprising
would be fine, maybe a little bigger. For later ones I don't want to
set a limit. As a rule of thumb, if maps are smaller than OmyarGorge
they should be placed earlier, if they are bigger choose a later time.
And what I have more concern about, is this map laying OK?
I'll comment when I've played it some more.
Which place of storyline should this map be?
It's quite a bit bigger than OmyarGorge and has much more units so it
should take place after that one. Unless you already have a specific
plot in mind for the map, maybe we should first discuss the general
campaign storyline for a bit. That should make it much easier to come
up with something for a single mission.
