hmmm it sounds logical at first sight but i am not sure now :
the main difference between a "transparent latch" and a "flip-flop"
is the timing (or the clocking from another point of view).
From your description above, i don't see that. The function
does not change when implemented differently. Whether you need
a sensor or not has nothing to do with clocking.

Can you elaborate ?
