When the Processor power fails - the 128 DUMB
Terminals
are also dead. I use one Processor to serve
all 128 Terminals. That brings up the question - are they all on the same power
distribution network? Solution - use a power back-up system depending on
the System Application.
The system also receives a "Power ON Reset". This
is excellent as far as the FPGA I am using - this resets all of
the FF's in the device.
I also use a centralized Hard Disk(s) File - one
for the entire system. The Peripheral Processor monitors Disk
useage
to flag when to add an additional
Drive.
I hope this answers your question satisfactorily.
If not -
do it again.
