Hi,

    I addition to Icarus Verilog, gschem can be used to create schematic level designs for chip design.  I believe that it is currently being used by at least one user to design analog IC's.

    As for getting the drawn schematic out of gschem and into a vendor flow, there are several back end netlisters available,  Spice, VHDL and Verilog are just a few of them.  Writing your own is not difficult, if one of the standard ones does not quite fit.
