I guess I didn't think about it that way. When I fill in my order, I am required to check the polarity of each file submitted. So you are telling me that my soldermask would positive then - right?
1. The soldermask for both sides of the board appear to be a negative image while everything else is positive - is this correct?
Yes. It defines the mask, not the holes in the mask.
