First changes I noticed:
* gschem uses stock gnome icons. Nice. I appreciate eye candy :-)
* Zoom with the mouse wheel. ---> Big step in terms of usability!
* gschem pans with the mouse ---> Pan is a bit too sensitive. The
schematics moves 4 times as fast as the mouse. I'd prefer a
1:1 movement or 1:2 maxiumum. Mouse acceleration is taken care of by the
window manager.
* Less segfaults with gschem. Actually I did not experience any yet. This
is in contrast to about 10 per session before.

Feel free to do so. It saves me the trouble to write wiki notes
myself ;-)

Must have been one of the first, as I don't recall that it took much
time until the complaint. Just tried to remove the package libgtk1.2-dev
and reinstall the geda CD. For some reason install runs fine now.
