Take a generic R and maybe add some label to it about which pins it
represents, or not... then copy 7 times and change the pinname and
pinnumber attribs by editing the symbol in gschem...
What footprint would I give

Make one from the Bourns datasheet.
How do I identify which resistor of the component ? (Use the slot

Yes, use gattrib on your schematic with the eight generic R's
to add slot=a for pins 1,2 slot=b for pins 3,4, etc.
