And for future reference, you probably just need to re-optimize the
rats nest.  The rat line went away when the original trace completed
the net, so when you delete the trace you need to re-generate that rat
line (which will be done automatically with 'o'), otherwise pcb thinks
the new trace is shorting nets because there isn't a rat line
connecting the two.
