This report is mainly directed to DJ: I just tried the import schematics action on a small existing project. Changes in the schematics were a couple of thru hole footprints instead of SMD. On import I got the correct thru hole footprints. But the refdes seemed to be missing. Turned out, that the position of the text associated with the footprint was way off -- About 5 cm to top left of the footprint. See the attachment.
