gEDA-user: PCB manual routing
I'm new to PCB and attempting to do some manual routes to a small two layer
board where I have a DIP20 and a bunch of SMD's. I want all routing to the
DIP to be on the solder side, since I will not have plated-thru vias--just a
homemade board.
So, I the autorouter prefers the component side and I dont see where to change
this. (Side 1 is the three solder-side layers, 2 is the top side layers).
When I manual route, I cannot complete the connection to the DIP, the mouse
stops just short of the pin, as if there is a shield or blockage.
If I go ahead and autoroute, I cant force it to the backside with the "b"
command the way I can with a component.
The PCB manual has very little on this kind of usage.
Any help would be appreciated.

(btw, DJ, I saw a much earlier post where u where interested in sources for
thin FR-4. Is that still the case?)
