Looks like some days hard work for DJ to clear things and then some twenty odd years to grow the trees back.
FWIW, I have some accorns of a domestic (European) English oak (Latin:
Quercus robur) laying around in the backyard, maybe I can grow them up
and send them in a year or two.
For eyecandy look at:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/gardening/plants/plant_finder/plant_pages/8970.shtml
WYSINWYG :)
Unless U.S. Customs has a problem with alien trees being imported (this
is not to be taken lightly, or underestimated).
I have a long standing request from a fellow Dutchman living Portugal
for some twenty+ oaks, but never got to it since he has a nice forrest
of Eucalyptus trees (Latin: Myrtaceae) around his lodge outgrowing any
native European tree species.
Maybe it's time to serve two customers at once :)
DJ probably just needs a only couple of them, because the tend to grow
wide, about 25 m diameter (75+ feet) when full grown.
Dunno if the English oak is compatible with NH soil.
One caveat is the infinite number of saplings to be weeded out every
year or two.
Kind regards,
Bert Timmerman.
