Re: gEDA-user: Next step questions

Thanks, Ben.  I installed guile 1.6.8, and it went a little farther, then complained that I don't have gettext installed.  Weird thing is, I do.

**Error**: You must have `gettext' installed.
You can get it from: http://www.gnu.org/software/gettext
make: *** [gschem/configure] Error 1
root:~/gedastuff/geda/gaf# which gettext
/bin/gettext
root:~/gedastuff/geda/gaf# gettext --version
gettext (GNU gettext-runtime) 0.14.5

Any ideas?

If you don't have the .pc and no guile-config, you'll probably have to
reinstall guile.  I have 1.6.8 and it has a guile-config.  If you
understand the foo-config system you could hand-write one for your
existing install, but it's probably easier to upgrade guile.
