Hmmmmm, probably not as intended. The installer holds tarball of all the programs in teh gEDA Suite. There is a frozen Python executable which oversees using your computer's build tools to open the tarballs and build all tools from source.
Of course, you can use the tarballs on the .iso since they are just tarballs & will do the right thing anywhere. That is, you can use the .iso as a convenient way to download all the components of the gEDA Suite, without having to visit each and every tool's individual website. However, the frozen Python executable was built on a 32 bit x86 Linux box, so will likely only work on a 32 bit x86 Linux box.
But you could always try it out and let us know what happens!

Following the releases of PCB and gEDA/gaf, I have created a new version of the gEDA Suite install CD. For now, it lives on my website:
Thank you very much for your work.
Can I use your installer on AMD64 64-bit system (Gentoo AMD64)?

To make life of Linux package maintainers more easy, there should always be a list of latest gEDA packages available -- maybe together with some explanations about installation.
I have never tried installing gEDA from sources, so please excuse my ignorance. But
http://geda.seul.org/sources.html
lists PCB 20060822, which is not the latest snapshot.
Are the other listed version up to date -- or is there a other better page for source download?
Or should Linux package maintainers prefer to use gEDA Suite CDROM, which is dated 20061214.
Thanks
