I think you are saying that 0.8 compiles for you but 0.7 does not.
It appears that the reason is that 0.8 has C++ syntax fixes that
make it compile with your newer C++ compiler, and 0.7 lacks those
fixes.
I think that 0.8.1 (there is also an even newer snapshot of the
0.8 branch) has even more compiler fixes.
If you really want exactly 0.7, then try a pre-compiled binary, or
try and older compiler.
