Re: gEDA-user: file format documentation section of manual

TeX was purpose built for typesetting; consequently, it is the ideal
solution if you are looking for printed output. LaTeX2HTML is
sufficiently powerful enough for the needs of gEDA. I have no
complaints with people using TeX documentation.

With respect to TexInfo, note that TexInfo itself is capable of
emitting TeX formatted documentation. Go to your local technical book
store, and pick up a copy of the GNU Emacs book, printed by the FSF,
and look in the section that describes how the book was made. It's
actually printed from the TexInfo sources.

TexInfo documents, when printed, are not as professional looking as
real TeX documents are. But they're usable. Therefore, TexInfo *may*
be the best compromise solution. Failing that, I think LaTeX would be
vastly superior. Editable in any text editor (no need to install
OpenOffice), and document production is substantially faster.
