You don't need a special cursor to do keyboard interactions. Just type
the appropriate shortcut. For the command window type a colon ":".

Yes, this is still a weakness of geda. Nevertheless, the situation has
improved a lot since the wiki was installed.

I'd rather prefer to add some more advanced chapters to the existing
tutorial.
