I disagree.

I absolutely *love* PCB and have been using it for least several years. Pcb gives me the freedon to do what I want.

I have used Protel, Pads, and Eagle, and did not like them much.

A big thank you to the PCB developers for a program I couldn't live without.

I have to voice my agreement here. I've been largely silent on this list since my loud whining about the GTK port and potential portability issues, because I've been very busy. My non-Linux GTK issues have been solved (I think I did mention that some time ago) and I'm now running the PCB GTK port with great satisfaction.


I too would like to send out a heartfelt "THANK YOU" to Harry, DJ, Dan, and all the other folks who've contributed to PCB over the years. Further, Bill Wilson deserves many cases of virtual beer for his highly successful effort on the gorgeous new GTK-based user interface.

PCB does have a steep learning curve...just like every other highly technical tool that implements a great deal of functionality.
