I deliberately used ".gsch2pcb" in xgsch2pcb.. since it would be nice if
"*.proj" were "reserved" for the project manager.

g2p should work too, but are there any interesting systems now which
require 3-letter file extensions?

The file is used by gsch2pcb, _not_ the netlister directly.
