gEDA-user: Footprints with mounting holes

Hi gEDA list,

I"m fairly new to gEDA but enjoying the ride so far. I'm creating a
library of my own symbols and footprints and I've run into an issue
where I havea footprint that requires holes to be cut into the PCB for
mounting holes rather than for pins. I'm not too sure how to handle
this.

I assume that I need to put it into the footprint file as a normal pin
but what do I do with pin names etc? If I had a 4-pin device and gave
the mounting holes pin-no 5 and 6 doesn't gsch2pcb whinge at me later
for assigning an inappropriate footprint to a symbol? Similarly, if I
give the mounting holes the same pin number as one that is already used,
don't I run the risk of accidentally connecting nets together?

Thanks in advance,

spuzzdawg
