I think, but can't swear to it, that the gtk HID is doing what pcb did 
during the period of gtk only in between Xaw and HID.  But... I would 
much rather see the gtk HID be as compatible as possible with the 
lesstif one so I'll see if I can find some time to use the global 
settings code.
