Re: gEDA-user: Any Fink users out there?

Hi.
Well i installed all my geda apps with fink and use them successfully. Although I mainly use schem, I had earlier versions of the other tools installed too.
So as much I can judge, the fink installs work fine.
Cheers,
Ezra.

If you're using gEDA tools that have been packaged for Fink, please send your feedback (positive or negative). While it's good that I haven't had any bug reports lately, these packages won't make it into the Fink binary distribution until I get a few positive feedback reports.

The latest stuff (including gerbv 0.16, hot off the press) is here:

and a few packages have made it into Fink unstable:

http://fink.sourceforge.net/pdb/package.php/gerbv
http://fink.sourceforge.net/pdb/package.php/iverilog
http://fink.sourceforge.net/pdb/package.php/pcb

Notably absent are the gaf packages. If you have OS X plus Fink and the Dev. Tools installed (and some extra time on your hands), please consider trying the gaf packages from the first URL above.

Once packages move into stable, they eventually get built as binaries by the Fink team, and then become available to OS X users who do not have the developers tools installed.

You can either use the FinkCommander tool to send feedback, or just email me with some basic information about your setup (OS version, Fink version, etc.).

thanks,
