The source to Icarus Verilog is hard to read because the problem
it is solving is hard to solve. Specifically, it is filled with
detail and subtlety from the Verilog language.

There are *.txt files within the source that describe various
aspects of the code. Those documents are hopefully a slight help.

The main trunk of CVS is more in flux, but is also better documented
internally. In other words, as I've been reworking parts, I've been
commenting the source more thoroughly and descriptively. If you are
of a mind to contribute new features, that is where you would start
looking.

And of course I can answer specific questions if asked on the
geda-dev mailing list. Discussions about the source code are best
kept on developer mailing lists.
