Since I fell into this trap when I was new to geda: This involves no 
slotting at all. It is just two symbols, both with the same refdes. Set 
numslots=0 in each of the symbols.

As an aside: An infrastructure for split symbols is one of my favorite 
items on the gschem wish list...
