Hi Charles,

I am running Mac OS X 10.5.7 on a MacBook with a 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo  
processor and 4GB of RAM.

Note that if I start gschem in a a directory that does not contain  
gschemrc, I get

and gschem exits.  If I start it in a directory containing gschemrc,  
it starts and gives me the message below in the gschem log in an X- 
window.
