Even though it's a limitation in gerber spec, it's going to come up
more and more with optical interface boards for lighting, directing LED light into light pipes.


Can we make SMT footprints with round ended pads on an angle?

Even the 45 deg lines? What a mess... I see some boards that have one or two chipsets at 45 deg,
