In this case, receiving all dialogs bluntly in the middle of the screen 
makes it look like the developers did not care about placement at all. A 
library window that insists to go to the center of the screen is just 
annoying. 

How about (yet another) user configurable option: 
 set-dialog-geometry-after-construction
