I tried it and now the drc window (and PCB) just hangs.  I still get the same error on the command 
line.  But I see the note that recommends using the --sync option in order to capture meaningful 
output from the debugger.  It's 1 am so I'm off to sleep but I will give the debugger a shot 
tomorrow.
