I agree that the tools exist as individual pieces, and will probably
stay that way, however I wouldn't represent the entire gEDA user /
developer community suggesting that we don't want integration.
Flexible and powerful tools aren't necessarily enemies of "integrated".
Integration doesn't mean merging tools, it means making them work
together better, and is what Newell's gSoC project was all about.
We're not quite there yet, but arranging processes such as output
preparation should be possible from a GUI application. Those output
files would be automatically tracked for whether they are up to date, or
in need of update. It is also quite possible for them to be updated
automatically when changes are made to the board, just no-one has
written this code yet.
