Shirley,
The install is case sensitive, make sure that the Independence
installation tree your pointing the install at begins with a capital
"I", otherwise the install won't see it.
There should also be a directory inside created by the
Independence tar ball named "Independence", it should already
start with a capital "I".
This is a good point to remember. If you are moving to Linux
from MS Windows, Linux is case sensitive!
