The data is still on the server, it just didn't update the website correctly.

CVS is used for all scripts/website stuff, and a local login is used wherever
else it is necessary.

??? A make install should never do this.  I am not sure what you are talking
about.  Please clarify.

There shouldn't be any binarys in CVS unless they are in cgi.
