Obviously I don't agree with that interpretation, but it's very
subjective anyways.  I think the major issue to consider:

Something that is descriptive of the purpose of the site.  You need to get
the general idea of what the site is about just by looking at the domain
name and knowing nothing else.  It needn't be *exact* or crystal clear,
because there is a limit as to how long the domain name can be.  Something
broad is probably better than something specific.  Acronyms tend to be
confusing, especially to newbies.

Perhaps the reason I'm not a big fan of "kb" and the phrase "knowledge
base" in general is that I have the wrong impression of what a KB is.  
So, what does KB mean to you?  Are we trying to recreate the MS KB but for
Linux?  What features make a site a knowledge base vs a FAQ vs a
collection of loosely indexed material?

Also, don't forget that we're talking more than just a collection of FAQ's
and other semi-static documentation, but message boards and a business
finder- two things that I would not associate with a KB.  I guess I find
the term "knowledge base" too limiting.  Feel free to enlighten me though!

Anyways, we're probably wayyyyy over analyzing the whole thing.  If we do
a decent job of advertising the site on freshmeat, slashdot, and lwn, we
could call it "joes-pickle-works.com" and still get a lot of hits.  I
don't think either option is *clearly* the better choice.  Unless anyone
has any strong disagrements, let's complete the vote (dana has yet to
vote, and Roger hasn't made a clear vote).  What ever wins, wins and we
register that.  If we choose linuxkb.net and linuxkb.org decides to give
it up, we can cross that bridge when we get to it.
