Hi Michael,

I don't know if you had heard about my annoucement to Red Hat earlier this
week, but I'm intending to shutdown the Red Hat Linux User's FAQ.  I have
decided to shutdown this site, in order to concentrate on a new site with
a far wider audience base- the entire Linux community.  This new site,
which has been initially dubbed the "Linux Knowledge Base" will be a
combination of mirrors of existing Linux sites (such as the LDP), unique
content from various sources (user contributed documentation, maillists,
newsgroups, etc), and existing Linux documentation (man pages, etc).  Of
course, everything will be indexed for human consumption as well as for a
powerful search engine.

Furthermore, we will have a Linux corporate index.  This will index
companies and consultants who provide Linux related services, support, and
products.  We will have a engine which will allow searches on type
(support services, VAR, education, etc) and by geographic location (ie, we
will return the nearest VAR, educational facility, bookstore, etc) rather
than one 1000 miles away.  Users will be offered the option of viewing a
high-quailty map showing the location of the selected business.

Other features such as message boards are planned as well.  Furthermore, I
have already obtained corporate sponsorships for bandwidth, a dedicated
server, and the geocoding/mapping engine service.

Now for why I'm contacting you:

We need dedicated people to help.  So far myself and one other person has
dedicated themselves to this project.  Also, SUSE has given permission for
one of their employees to assist us on this project on a part-time basis.  
I'm hoping that Red Hat would be willing to do something simular or can
get me a short list of people who would be interested in contributing to
this project.  But, please DO NOT POST this to any maillists, web sites,
etc.  I don't have the time to answer 100's of "I'll help" and try to
figure who is really dedicated to about 5-10 hours a week and has the
skills.

We are looking for about 2 or 3 more people to help round out our "core"
group;  later growing to 20+ people as content maintainers.  We currently
have openings for:

Web Page Design/Layout
Graphic Design
