I think RH applies Alan Cox's unofficial patches and any other bugs
their kernel development group comes up with, not waiting for them to become
part of the mainstream kernel.  In 6.0 and 6.1 especially they seem to add cpu
detection and optimization schemes and special hardware setup patches.
