Yes, it would be trivial. Unfortunately it doesn't solve the problem I have in mind.

The issue isn't running a mailing list and protecting the ones running it. The idea is to protect the people on the list. IOW to stop an LEA from being able to get a court order for the membership list and harrassing the people on it.
