i'm building tor-0.1.1.5-alpha on OSX 10.4.2 from src.
the built binary seems to run fine, but a 'make check' fails with:

Try pulling the latest from cvs and see if it still fails for you.

aha. i thought the alpha WAS a cvs snapshot. my bad.

soooo, building with latest cvs HEAD:

   % /usr/local/tor/bin/tor -V
   	Aug 23 13:57:01.210 [notice] Tor v0.1.1.5-alpha-cvs. This is experimental
   software. Do not rely on it for strong anonymity.
       ...
   	Aug 23 13:57:30.538 [notice] Tor has successfully opened a circuit. Looks
   like it's working.

now,

% make check
   ...
	==================
	All 1 tests passed
	==================
   ...
%

cool.

is this a problem to be concerned about?

This is nothing to be worried about; it's a bug in the tests, not in Tor. It should be fixed in the next alpha version.

fair nuf.

thx & cheers,

richard
