[tor-talk] DirServer, DirAuthority and AlternateDirAuthority options + related issues (Bug #10461)
I've reported the above bug, but decided to post on here as well and seek some advice.
It looks as though tor ignores the value of any of the specified options above and I cannot control this. In addition, when I fetch a hidden service, (.onion
address) sometimes, but not always, I get "Wanted to contact directory mirror XXX at XXXXX for hidden-service v2 descriptor fetch, but it's in our ExcludedNodes
list and StrictNodes is set. Skipping.", which I think stems from tor ignoring the above options.
I do have quite extensive ExcludedNodes list, as well as "ReachableAddresses reject XXX, reject YYYY" statements excluding various IP addresses/subnets, but
none of the nodes listed in my DirAuthority/AlternateDirAuthority statements are either in my "ExlcudedNodes" or "ReachableAddresses reject" statements. How do
I fix this amd make it work?
