Pretty much, conceptually. The code is over my head.

Yes, of course. For spies and agents. And it was released to the
public in order to get volunteer relays and cover activity. That's the
dogma, and I have no evidence for rejecting it.

Where we disagree is whether Tor was designed as a honey-trap. I
haven't seen any actual evidence. But then, I have no privileged access.
