yeah, i was waiting to see if david thought his version was
"better". actually, david if you have the original early early
"isotest" stuff, that could even be better, that code is just
specifically for iso rendering.

i seem to have lost my isotest :[

anyways, if david doesn't have anything better, i'll send you
the version i have tonight
