This is far easier on Linux/BSD than on Windows. The libavcodec and
libavformat libraries do work on Windows though.

How come it's not in the standard precompiled version on the pygame.org download page? I would have thought the standard version ought to include all documented modules...?


Anyway, since I don't have the ability to compile Pygame on this machine, I'll check out livavformat, that may work for me.
