thanks for putting these through, roger. i've also been getting
the bounced messages, so i have been helping mark out a little
outside the mailing list.

mark, your problem is you are subscribed with one email address,
but posting from your yahoo email account. you need to either
subscribe the yahoo account or make sure to post from your
tapinternet account.

anyways, i'll address all the woes here in one post...

WIN32 TROUBLES?
after an initial round trip of discussion this appears to be a
directx issue. we'll see if a directx upgrade solved anything?
hmm, i noticed aliens not working on a machine without sound
setup also. aliens should gracefully run silently when no sound
is available, i will look into this. i'm guessing the non-sound
examples are working well when using the 'windib' driver?

LEAKING?
hmm, this leaking is not the general windows behavior. i've sat and
run different pygame examples many times (at least over 40) in a
single session. (mainly as i'm writing them). i haven't seen anything
like this. i'm running with 128MB or ram on a win98 machine. what
type of machine are you running on? are you quitting out of the
examples in an out-of-ordinary way? has anyone else noticed this?
i'm not sure what it could be.
