Hi,

I have the same problem on my laptop, which I thought was something peculiar
to this machine as I'd recently moved it from RH7.1 to 2k with Pygame 1.4...

I get ~5secs of discreet, individual, "crackles" and pops... Now, if you
could add some snaps, I'd have a breakfast to rival Shredded Wheat! ;-)
