That's intentional: sound doesn't travel through vacuum.  On the other
hand that's surprising and strange in a game.  I've now added an option
to toggle this, set to "fun" by default.

That's true, but why is there sound when destroying the player but no sound when destroing the enemy? Thought it was a bug.
